Hey Guys!
How was everyone’s Thanksgiving?
Mine was nice and relaxing. We hung out with friends and ate some yummy food.
Some of that I’m going to share with you.
To start off with, on Wednesday afternoon, I make some Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting.
Icing:

Note: I made half the icing the recipe called for.
Batter:
Made the batter, then I poured it into the tins. Cooked them for 15 min and then cooled them on a rack.
While I was mixing the batter I thought the bits of pumpkin stuck to the beaters looked like starfish legs:

Starfish legs:

Doesn’t it though?
Outside:
While the cupcakes cooled I went outside and took some pics of the sunset:

I was experimenting with my photos.
Once it got dark I did not have a lot of time left so I frosted the cupcakes:

Then I made the
Lime Curd:

It firmed in the fridge overnight.
The next morning I made the
Pie Crust:

I then made the
Meringue:
The rolls probably too the longest:

While they cooked I heated up the creamed corn:

Once we got there I was introduced to the turkey. His name was Carl.

He was very yummy.
I forgot to take a picture of my plate. It was too good to stop eating. Anyway…….
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I made for Thanksgiving!
Also a reminder!
Today is the LAST DAY for you to send in assumptions of what I look like!
Red this post for more info:
What did you all make for thanksgiving? What was your favorite thing?
Corrie.S.P.

All of the food looks so good, Corrie! I made the rolls for our Thanksgiving too, as well as the pumpkin pies, and cranberry relish. My sister and I both made a pumpkin cream cheese roll, and it turned out pretty good! I don’t think I can pick a favorite Thanksgiving food…

Awe, Thank you!
Oh yummy! Our friend made the cranberry sauce and it was really good. Pumpkin cream cheese rolls sound good!
I have a hard time choosing, but I like pies a lot…..

My Thanksgiving was great, thank you! I didn’t cook anything, mostly because we were short on time

We didn’t host Thanksgiving this year so we went to our cousin’s house! It was super fun!

Nice! DO they live close or were you traveling? I’ve never traveled anywhere for the holidays.

They live really close! It was nice to see them though.
It’s fun traveling for the holidays, but it can be stressful, lol

Neat!
I agree. We can’t really travel because of our animals.

That’s the same with my grandparents. They can’t leave home for too long because they have horses!
Speaking of horses, have you ever ridden a horse?
LikeLike
I have watched my grandparent’s horses while they were away a few times.
Yes! When I turned 13 I was allowed to start riding. It’s interesting. I have not ridden in a few years because we have been busy, but I like doing it. I rode a horse that is kinda broke, but she is still skittish. Her nick-name is Meg. She’s a Morgan.
My dad has two horses but they stay over at my grandparent’s house right now since we don’t have a barn yet.

That’s cool! I’ve ridden one of my grandparents’ horses before, but I rode her without a saddle. It was really fun! I like riding horses too!

Niiice!✨
I have ridden two other horses too. One I rode bareback once. Then another time with a saddle. And one I think I just rode with a saddle. It’s been a while I can’t exactly remebr. But she is huge!

That’s fun! I ridden once with a saddle, but twice without a saddle (counting up all the times I’ve ridden a horse)

It’s sure strange when you ride bareback. At least to me.

Yay! Your Thanksgiving food looks amazing!
I wanted to make homemade rolls this year, but we ended up just using frozen rolls. Maybe I’ll make some homemade rolls tomorrow as we finish up our leftovers!
Happy Thanksgiving, Corrie! I hope you had a lovely day.

Man. ten times better than our thanksgiving meal. Also instead of taking a picture of your plate before, you could have done one after to show that is was so good. Haha, I know I guy who always did that.

Haha, I doubt it. (yet also, I know, since I’m such a great cook.😉) Just kidding. Do you cook?
Oh! I could have! I did not think about that😂

I don’t cook often, but when I do it is usually pretty great. for some reason, baking is something I am decent at. I can make a mean 5 ingredient cake. [don’t ask what the ingredients are, I forget if I don’t have the recipe]

That’s good.😂
I assume they are edible ingrediants.
What do you enjoy baking/cooking most?
LikeLike
Probably baking, since you just follow a recipe, whereas cooking has a lot more variables like what type of meat you want to use in a stew, what spices to use, or what people like. Everyone likes baked stuff!

I like both, dinner can be fun to experiment with. I made a meat and veggie mix that is super easy to make and change spices and ingredients with.
Baking I love, but it can be messy.
Have you ever cooked dinner for your family?
